First Lieutenant Joseph Walters, a spring 2019 graduate of the Virginia Tech Master of Information Technology (VT-MIT) program, recently participated in an interview regarding his participation in the aforementioned program. Walters is currently an active duty engineer stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado.

Elise Elam, a fall 2019 graduate of the Virginia Tech Master of Information Technology (VT-MIT) program, recently participated in an interview regarding her participation in the aforementioned program. Elam, a mother of three, works as a digital risk advisory and cybersecurity associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP.

When he decided to enroll in this dual-degree program at Virginia Tech, Muñoz was already an experienced and well credentialed IT professional with 20-plus years of network engineering and information security experience. He knew where he wanted to be — “at the burgeoning intersection of business and technology” — and he wanted to move up in management.

Yiyang Ma currently works as a managing consultant with IBM, specializing in healthcare supply chain management and information technology.

Susanne Tedrick currently works as a cloud platform technical specialist with IBM in New York, and has recently published a book, “Women of Color in Tech: A Blueprint for Inspiring and Mentoring the Next Generation of Technology Innovators.”
